The Most Frequently Asked Questions by Job Applicants (That We’re Happy to Answer!)

At MBVA 24-7, we get tons of questions from amazing applicants like you every single day—and honestly, we love it! It means you care about your future, your benefits, and where you’re investing your time and talent. So, we thought we’d make things easier and answer the top FAQs we hear the most.

Grab a snack, get comfy, and let’s go through everything you’ve been wondering about (yes, including PTO and paydays).

1. “What Government Benefits Will I Get?”

?

Great question—and a super important one! As a company operating in the Philippines, MBVA ensures you’re covered with all the government-mandated benefits, starting from Day 1:

  • SSS – For retirement, disability, and social protection
  • PhilHealth – For health insurance and hospitalization
  • Pag-IBIG Fund – For housing loans and savings
  • 13th Month Pay – 1/12 of your annual salary, paid out before December 24
  • Service Incentive Leave (SIL) – 5 paid leave days annually after one year of service

Deductions You’ll See on Your Payslip:

  • SSS
  • PhilHealth
  • Pag-IBIG
  • Income Tax
  • Other deductions if required by law or requested by you (like personal government loans)

 Holiday Pay Perks

Yes, if you work on a Philippine holiday, you’ll be rewarded for it:

  • Regular Holiday = 200% pay
  • Special Non-Working Holiday = 130% pay

2. “What’s the Schedule Like? Will I Be Working at Night?”

?

Since all of our clients are based in the U.S., most roles will follow a night shift or graveyard schedule to match their hours. Your specific schedule will depend on your assigned client—but don’t worry, we’ll walk you through it clearly.

What you can expect:

  • 40 hours per week (8 hours per day, 5 days a week)
  • Breaks may vary:
    • Some clients give a 1-hour break
    • Others provide a 30-minute break

Either way, we’ll make sure you know what to expect before you start.

3. “Do You Offer Paid Time Off (PTO)?”

?

Absolutely! After you’re regularized, you’ll earn Paid Time Off (PTO)—and we even have an upgraded SIL Accrual Program starting January 1, 2025.

Here’s the Deal Based on Your Tenure:

  • 0–2 years – 5 days (40 hours), including sick time
  • 3–4 years – 7 days (56 hours), including sick time
  • 5+ years – 10 days (80 hours), including sick time

Can’t Use It All? No Worries!

You can carry over unused PTO into the next year, up to 1.5x your annual accrual.

Use Your PTO For:

  • Vacations
  • Personal days
  • Offsetting U.S. holidays*
  • Any non-medical reason

Sick leave is for—you guessed it—being sick, medical appointments, or caring for immediate family.

*US holidays pay-offset – When your client allows you to take the day off during US Holidays, and you want that specific day/s paid.

4. “Do You Have HMO?”

?

Not yet—but it’s coming! We’re actively working on offering HMO coverage and are currently reviewing options from various providers to make sure we choose a plan that actually helps, not just looks good on paper. Stay tuned—this is one of our top priorities!

5. “What Time Shifts Are Available?”

?

Time shifts vary based on our clients’ business needs, but since all of them are in the U.S., most positions will involve night or graveyard shifts.

Your actual schedule will be confirmed before you start with a client. We always keep it clear and straightforward.

6. “When and How Will I Get Paid?”

?

We pay out twice a month—like clockwork—on the 10th and 25th, even if that falls on a weekend or a holiday.

Here’s the Breakdown:

  • 1st–15th → Paid on the 25th
  • 16th–end of month → Paid on the 10th of the next month

*USD – PHP Forex conversion rate is based on the last day of the cut-off pay period (15th and month end)

7. “Do You Give Annual Salary Increases?”

?

Yes—we believe in rewarding growth and good work. Every year, on your employment anniversary, we conduct a performance review under our Employee Performance Review & Appraisal (EPRA) process.

Salary increases are based on:

  • Your individual performance (measured through our Competency Ratings)
  • Business profitability
  • The current economic and market environment

So while it’s not automatic, if you’re doing great and the business is thriving, you’ve got something to look forward to!

8. "Why Does MBVA Have Computer Hardware and Software Requirements?"

?

Great question—and one we get a lot!

At MBVA, we collaborate with high-level U.S. clients who expect top-tier service, professionalism, and reliability. To consistently meet those expectations, it’s important that our team members are fully equipped—not just with skills, but also with the right hardware and software setup.

Think of it this way: just like a chef needs quality ingredients or an architect needs a solid blueprint, you need the right tools to perform at your best.

 Why This Matters:

  • It ensures you’re ready and capable to take on tasks without tech-related delays
  • It builds client trust and confidence, showing them you’re professional and prepared
  • It supports clear and seamless communication, especially during remote meetings
  • It allows us to maintain consistent productivity and performance across the team

Important Note: A working webcam is required—not only for client meetings and team check-ins, but also for mandatory productivity checks.

At MBVA, we value transparency and accountability, and this helps ensure everyone is engaged and supported throughout the workday.

Having the proper tech setup isn’t about being strict—it’s about setting you up to succeed, represent the brand well, and make your work life smoother.

Whew! That was a lot—but hopefully, it cleared up many of the questions swirling around in your head (and if it didn’t, don’t worry—we’re just a message away!).

At MBVA, we get that applying for a job isn’t just about sending your resume and hoping for the best. It’s about finding the right fit, knowing you’ll be taken care of, and being part of a team that values transparency, growth, and real human connection.

We’re not here to throw confusing policies at you or keep you guessing. We believe in being clear, fair, and upfront—because that’s the kind of work environment we’d want too.

So whether you’re asking about PTO, pay schedules, holiday premiums, or even if we’ll be your future work BFFs (spoiler: we will!), we appreciate your curiosity—and we’re cheering for you every step of the way.

If you’re thinking, “This sounds like the kind of team I want to be part of,” then we can’t wait to welcome you.

Here’s to new beginnings, exciting opportunities, and building something amazing—together!

Join our team! Send us your resume, and we’ll match you with the perfect opportunity.
