Position Overview:
The Data Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing data systems within an organization, ensuring that data is accurate, accessible, and aligned with business needs. This role involves data entry, data cleaning, database management, and quality assurance to ensure data integrity across systems. The Data Specialist works closely with data analysts, IT teams, and other departments to support data-driven projects, maintain data compliance, and streamline data workflows to support the organization’s operational and strategic goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Report production:
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports.
- Most of these reports and processes have been created by Data Analysts, but there are complex manual steps to assemble the data and enter it in the desired format.
- Learn the reporting system so you can create new reports.
- Document Management
- Collect and curate various documents and records.
- Enter metadata for documents into the document and records management systems.
- Learn and administer SharePoint and other document management systems.
- Projects
- Assist with projects that involve data and records.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science or related studies.
- Experience with Excel formulas, pivot tables, vlookup, etc.
- Prefer experience with reporting systems: Tableau, PowerBI, etc., and desire to learn more.
- Proficient in the English Language both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Extremely detailed and accurate (rarely make mistakes when completing defined processes).
